    Accure Tree Service is hiring a career-driven Climbing Arborist to join our fast-growing, professional team. This role involves technical removals, controlled rigging, and precision pruning to ISA standards. Ideal for climbers who value safety, professionalism, and long-term growth.

    Responsibilities

    • Technical tree removals & advanced rigging

    • Structural & aesthetic pruning to ISA standards

    • Work as a team member to assist with all aspect of the job

    • Safe aerial chainsaw operation

    • Maintain clean, organized job sites

    • Communicate clearly with crew

    • Optional) Mentor apprentices as they develop

    Required Qualifications

    • 1–3+ years professional climbing (SRT/DDRT)

    • Rigging & removal experience

    • Strong pruning fundamentals

    • Class 5 BC driver’s licence

    • Safety-focused and reliable

    Preferred Assets

    • SA Certified Arborist

    • Fall Protection / Aerial Lift training

    • First Aid

    • Air brakes or trailer endorsement

    • Experience with bucket truck, chipper, mini skid steer

  • Overview

    This entry-level role is ideal for individuals who want to build a long-term career in arboriculture. The Groundsperson / Apprentice supports climbers, manages equipment, and learns the fundamentals needed to progress into a climbing position.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with tree removals & pruning

    • Drag, chip, and process brush

    • Handle ropes and ground support for climbers

    • Operate chipper, saws, blowers, and hand tools

    • Set up job sites (cones, signage, mats)

    • Maintain clean, safe work areas

    • Learn knots, rigging basics, and climbing fundamentals

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence

    • Physically fit (lift 50–75 lbs)

    • Comfortable working outdoors year-round

    • Reliable, hard working, and safety-minded

    Preferred Assets

    • Landscaping, forestry, or construction experience

    • Chainsaw experience

    • First Aid or Fall Protection

    • Strong desire to become a Climbing Arborist
